Construction women unite at Denver’s Transportation Girls event.

Last week, Emu took part in an exciting event for women in the construction and transportation industries, the Transportation Girl Luncheon.

Together with several other companies from our incredible co-working community, Tradecraft Industries, we sponsored a table at this luncheon and exhibit aimed at raising awareness about career paths for women in a traditionally male dominated field.

Girls from the US Department of Transportation’s inaugural Career Days Discovery program attended the event, and spoke about their experiences spending time in various companies around the Denver area. The Master of Ceremonies was the inspiring Amelia Earhart, Denver’s 9NEWS traffic reporter who piloted a flight around the world.
