Substitutions / Name Swaps

In some cases, it is possible to transfer the ticket for an Emu training event to a different person, if the person that was originally registered is unable to attend.
The eligibility depends on the format of the Emu training event:

  • Focus Boot Camp (all in-person Boot Camp): name swapping is allowed as long as we receive the request by EOD the Thursday before the Boot Camp starts (no exceptions).
  • Flex Boot Camp (hybrid Boot Camp): name swapping is not allowed, all online sales (incl. hybrid) are final.
  • Online Couse: name swapping is not allowed, all online sales are final.
  • Private Boot Camp: same policies above apply, depending on what format the individual participants were signed up for. Name swapping is allowed as long as we receive the request by EOD the Thursday before the Boot Camp starts (no exceptions).

Change Of Boot Camp Format

From Focus to Flex

A participant that has signed up for the Focus Boot Camp can be transferred to the Flex format of the same Boot Camp with an administrative fee of $150, as long as we receive written request and transfer fee payment by the Flex registration deadline of the Boot Camp.

  • Once this swap is requested by the participant, the registration is treated to all effects as a Flex registration (including this Cancellation policy), regardless of the fact that the original registration was for the Focus format.
  • Format conversion back to Focus is not allowed.

From Flex to Focus

Format swap from Flex to Focus is not allowed, as all online training sales are final (including the hybrid Flex Boot Camp).

Adding the in-person 2-day course to a Flex format

Flex participants can add the the two-day in-person course to their Boot Camp schedule at the additional fee of $950, granted that the material covered is the same they have access to on-demand on the Emu online platform.

  • Participants need to send their written request and pay the add-on fee by the registration deadline of the Focus Boot Camp.

IMPORTANT: Student Computer Literacy Requirements

Each student taking the exam is required to attend the scheduled Tech Check that Emu offers. During this Tech Check, we will walk through how to access the online exam environment, and you will take the PHI Trial Exam. If the student is unable to attend the scheduled Tech Check, there is a “self-guided” option to attempt the Trial Exam, which must be completed as soon as possible. PLEASE NOTE: students must execute the Trial Exam by at least 72 hours before the Exam date, or we will not be able to process the exam and no refund will be issued. Emu makes every effort to support our students in preparing for the online exam environment by offering the self-guided Tech Check as well as one scheduled IT support meeting (at our discretion and subject to availability). However, a basic level of computer literacy is required for this process. Students must know what their Operating System is, how to download and install an application, and how to access downloaded files to run. If a student is unable to meet the Tech Check requirements by no later than 72 hours before the Exam date, we will be unable to allow them access to the Exam Day session. IMPORTANT: These terms apply to every Exam registration, and it should be noted that the student’s ability to perform the Trial Exam can impact the terms of any requested refunds. Please ensure that all students understand.
