The pods were also incredibly well designed for such a compact demonstrator. They are a closed loop and show many strange scenarios you encounter in the field (inside-inside pig’s ear corner? Got it.) They also offer immediate feedback which I appreciate I would really love to build one for my company’s training if the plans are ever available, or design something similar!

Also should be said Ben and Daria are among the best trainers I’ve ever encountered in the construction industry. It is really obvious they care about the community and are passionate about what they do. Need more just like them.

I enjoyed the excellent instruction and content provided by the Emu team. I chose the hybrid format which had part of the course online and the hands on workshops in person. I appreciated that the training remained unbiased, rather than promoting specific products, they outlined the pros and cons of various options. The first two days focused on lectures, while the final days before the exam were hands-on, allowing us to apply the training directly in our own Passive FrankenPods. I completed the CPHT training with EMU in 2020 and it entirely transformed my approach to building envelopes and building performance! Enrico is a national leader in education, focusing on finding economic and common sense approaches to passive house for contractors and their teams. I can't recommend this training enough, and have recommended it to many of the GCs and architects I collaborate with. Not only will you leave with a better appreciation for the systems, products, and details involved (allowing you to adjust for the unique situations you will face in practice) but you will leave with a new network of friends and fellow industry professionals working at the forefront. It is ann intensive programs that provide practical training in understanding the concept and the skills all in one. It truly helped me to understand it better and provided a fun experience through it all.
